Like her sisterships, the 280 Express is no slouch on the water. She surges onto plane quickly and easily, maintaining her smooth ride for everyone aboard and living up to her designation as a true performance cruiser. She’s also comfortable. In the cockpit, a double-wide helm seat and the fore- and aft-facing cockpit settees provide ample room for owners and guests. The ergonomic design includes plenty of space for extra electronics and, ensuring additional ease of movement, offers a center windshield walk-through and a companionway to the side rather than in the center. A microwave oven is standard, while a TV/VCR is available as an option. Plus, the 280 boasts a spacious forward double berth and a fixed double berth aft. In both cases, the sleeping areas can be curtained off for privacy or left open to provide an unsurpassed living space for a boat in this size range. The midships head, located to port, offers full standing headroom and a shower.
